On my last trip to Miami I managed to squeeze in a session at Ski Rixen. It’s a bit of a drive from Miami to Deerfield but it’s worth it. Located on a little lagoon of water sits a very well run cable park to practice your wake/kite tricks if there’s no wind or boat available. Cable parks are great to practice your edging and rotation to toe-side and back since there is no chop. If this is your first time hearing about a cable park watch this video to see how it works.
Le Mans Farmers Market – Part 1
I love visiting farmers markets when I travel to different cities. Each of them has its own unique charm and character. The Saturday/Sunday morning farmers market in Le Mans has a vast amount of produce, seafood, and vegetables to choose from. With a very rustic feel everything is sold outdoors from tables and trucks.
The farmers market is located in central Le Mans about a 15 minute walk from the outskirts of Vieux Mans. I took many photos of the market focusing on the produce, meats, and people of the market. In Part 1 I am covering just the produce. I love the colours and the vibrancy of all the different fruits and vegetables. The number of different mushrooms available blew my mind – especially the chanterelles!!!
If you would like to see more photos of the market check out this amazing post about a fellow bloggers experience at one of Le Mans farmers markets.

Penne alla Puttanesca Recipe
Prep Time: 10 Minutes Cook Time: 30 Minutes Difficulty: Easy Serves: 4
Penne alla Puttanesca literal translation is “penne a la whore”. Who could resist such an interesting dish. This recipe is one of my favourite “make ahead” dishes that I can eat throughout the week since it gets better day after day. The ingredients are typical of Southern Italian cuisine: tomatoes, olive oil, capers, anchovies, and garlic.
